“Good Samaritan Emergency Response Act” Approved by Full Assembly

Measure Aimed at Increasing Medical Attention for Drug Overdose Victims

The “Good Samaritan Emergency Response Act” sponsored by Assembly Democrats Connie Wagner, Upendra Chivukula, Angel Fuentes, Thomas Giblin and Reed Gusciora was approved 67-8-4 by the full Assembly on Thursday, May 24th, 2012. The legislation (A-578) is aimed at saving lives in New Jersey by providing timely medical attention to the victims of drug overdoses.
